Spring Colors

That's what we're challenging you to use this week at Delightful Challenges.  The designers are using spring colors to introduce you to Louby Loo's newest images.

This precious little lady is Easter Bianca.  She's sitting by the Spring Tree from the Spring Accessories Set.  The sentiment is from the Easter Sentiment Set.  All of these images and many more can be found at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
I used Copic Markers to color the digital images and added Stampendous flower gems to the tree. The papers are from DCWV stacks.

You can join in our spring colors challenge by linking your design to the Delightful Challenges blog.
You'll be entered to win a $15 gift certificate to
Be sure to visit Delightful Challenges to see the rest of this new release.  There are so many fantastic images and sentiments to choose from.

iCopic project

Challenge #71 at iCopic is create anything but a card.  I decided on a spring lollipop holder.  I'm going to have my Copic Club gals make these tomorrow night in class.  I have several images for them to choose from, but I love this darling little chick.

I'd also like to thank my sweet friend, Sandy Evans for this wonderful blog award.  I'll post the information that goes with it later in the week.  It really has a nice story that goes with it and I'm looking forward to paying it forward.

Fantabulous Cricut's 100th Challenge!

Can you believe it?  100 challenges!!  In  celebration of Fantabulous Cricut's 100th challenge, we're using FCCB's colors; green, purple, and turquoise on our projects.

So why is my card so sad??  I'm saying good bye to FCCB.  This is my final post as one of their  designers.  I've been with the team for almost a year and it has been the most wonderful experience.  Robin gave me my first design team position and I will be forever thankful.  I've loved doing the challenges, the commenting, the blog hops and the Quick Tip Tuesdays.  Thank you Robin, Amy, and all the DT gals - you ladies are the best and I wish you continued success.

I used Smiley Cards and the new Circle cartridge, Letter Envy for my farewell card. Just a little ribbon and some doodling was needed to finish the project.

You can join in the 100th challenge by linking your project to the Challenge Me Monday post at Fantabulous Cricut.  Remember to use the colors green, purple, and turquoise and also a Cricut cut.

And, I'll continue to see you at FCCB when I link up to the weekly challenges myself.

Sea You Soon

It's another Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky.  Our new theme is "Aarrgh, Matey." We're thinking about pirates, fish, mermaids . . .

This was the perfect theme for me since Copic Markers Scrapbooking will be releasing a new set of images tonight.  You get a sneak preview since I used one of the new images on this card.

I used KAndrew Designs'  "Pirate Tales and Fish Scales" sentiment set.

You can purchase this stamp set HERE
Please visit Getting Cricky to see what the other design team members have to share and also to link up your own "Arrgh Matey" creation.

We'd really love to have you join our challenge. It's a great way to share your work, receive positive feedback, and get traffic to your blog.

Boo Boo Bear

It's a "patterned paper" challenge at Delightful Challenges.  For my project I'm using a digital paper pack from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I have such a paper-buying addiction that I didn't think I would like digital papers, but boy was I wrong!  The papers I used for today's card are from the Sweetheart Digital Paper Pack.  These patterns and colors are some of my all-time favorites and the great thing is - I can print them any time I want to use them.  I don't have to worry about running out.

I love Wendy's Boo Boo Bear character.  I used the teacup design on an earlier project.  Here's Boo Boo holding a small bouquet - so cute!  Bazzill Polka Dot ribbon and some pearls finished the card.

These amazing digital papers and Boo Boo Bear can be purchased at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
Have you noticed the blinkie on my sidebar which highlights Wendy's weekly free and bargain images.  It's a great way to explore working with digi's.  There's a new image every Friday.

I hope you will join in this week's challenge.  Vist our challenge blog to see the other patterned papers projects shared by our design team.  Then, link your patterned paper challenge project to the

This week's challenge winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to

"Getting Cricky With It"

Welcome the “Getting Cricky With It” Surprise Blog Hop for Kristal!!!

Today the Design Team is bringing you some very special projects created for our wonderful and amazing leader, Kristal! The current design team term is almost over and we wanted to show her just how much we appreciate ALL that she has done for us. The projects that we will be sharing with you will also be sent to Kristal. We encourage ALL of her fans to join in on the fun as well! Be sure to add your card/project to the link below and then be sure to mail it off to her!

If you're coming from Letillia's Blog then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog.

Something special about K Andrew Designs is that each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help! K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America. You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs.

I created a simple but sincere card for Kristal using her "Amazing You" stamp set.

Sometimes just a great piece of patterned paper, a mat, ribbon and a little bling is all that is needed to share a piece of your heart with someone.

Your next stop is Anita's Blog.

And don't forget that you can also share your appreciation of Kristal's work by linking up your project below.  And if you'd like to mail your project, Kristal's address can be found under the "Contact" tab HERE.

Getting Cricky Cabin Fever Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Cabin Fever" Getting Cricky Blog Hop!!

I'm so happy you could join us for this month's Getting Cricky Design Team Blog Hop!!  We have another SPECIAL hop for you this month.  All week long, the Design Team has been featuring many of Kristal's stamp sets as well as an array of Cricut Cartridges, SVG cuts, and more in anticipation of the hop.  I chose to feature the Paisley cartridge everyday this week.  If you didn't get to see the projects, please scroll down.  It was so much fun revisiting a cartridge that I haven't used for awhile.  I found some delightful images and the perfect K Andrew Designs stamp sentiments to go with them.

For our blog hop theme, we thought it would be fun to create projects for kids who might be suffering a little "Cabin Fever" as the weather transitions from winter to spring.  I'm sure as you hop along you'll gather lots of fun and kid-oriented ideas.

If you're arriving from Jo's blog, Jo Boogie Stamping, you're in the right place.  If you just dropped in to check my post or arrived from your dashboard,  please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

I want to remind you that each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity.

You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs:

Today's Blog Hop project features the All About Animals and Summertime Splash sets.

For my "Cabin Fever" project I decided to make a Coloring Book. It could be a Get Well activity or just something fun to do for a kiddo who's tired of winter and looking forward to spring.  I chose these cool sunglasses from the Paisley cartridge for the cover. The images on the coloring pages inside are digital stamps from Paper Crafting World. You can find these adorable images and many more HERE. I think Kristal's sentiments add a little fun to each page.  I ran the digi's on good quality paper so that if a child uses markers, the colors won't bleed through.

So, how about some BLOG CANDY?
I'm so close to 300 followers that I have decided to offer this Cricut Cartridge if I can reach 300.

If the magic 300 is reached during this hop, anyone who leaves a comment will be eligible to win.  I will use Random.org to select one winner whose name will be announced on
Monday, February 20.   You'll have until Sunday 6:00 p.m. PST to leave a comment and become a follower if you wish.  Remember, I must reach 300 followers in order to give away the cartridge.  If you're already a follower, maybe you can convince one of your bloggie friends to join.

For this final project I combined stamps from the Winged Things set to get my sentiment.

Life is Like an Ice Cream Cone

I think you'll agree with the wonderful sentiment from the Ice Cream Parlor Sentiment Set from
Our Delightful Challenges theme this week is "use your scraps."  When we have a theme like this, we really have our pick of images from Wendy's online store.  I love the Ice Cream Parlor Accessory Set images, especially this ice cream cone, and couldn't pass up the sentiment.

The card was created using scraps from my scrap stash.  The ice cream cone is colored with Copic markers.  I added Glossy Accents to the cherry and Smooch for the sprinkles.  The ribbon is Crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot.

Be sure to visit our Delightful Challenges blog to see how the rest of the design team members used their scraps.  To see the projects and link your own for a chance to win this week's challenge, click HERE.

Miss-shoe. . .

It's Wednesday and time for the Cooking with Cricut challenge.
Charlotte and I are your hostesses for this week's challenge and we've decided on a "sketch + pick 3" challenge.  My card is a literal interpretation of the sketch.  We also provided the following list of embellishments for you to pick any 3:  ribbon, eyelets or brads, ink or chalk, border punch, glitter or Stickles, and flowers.  And don't forget your Cricut cut.  Sound like fun?  I hope you'll play along with Charlotte, me, and the other designers.  You can see the design team's projects and then link your own design to Paper Crafting World's Cooking with Cricut blog HERE.

As you can see, I chose flowers, Stickles, and eyelets for my "pick 3" embellishments.  I used the Paisley cartridge (my Getting Cricky Pre-Hop daily featured cartridge) and a K Andrew Designs stamp from the Fashionable Friends set.

Can't wait to see what you design using the sketch and "pick 3" choices.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Funny Puns

It's Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut and this week we're challenging you to create something that incorporates a funny pun, either in the design or the sentiment.

For my design team project I used the Paisley cartridge for the turtle and Create a Critter for the first part of the sentiment.  The sentiment pun is from K Andrew Designs All About Animals stamp set.

I hope you'll join in this week's challenge by linking your Funny Pun to the Fantabulous Cricut blog. Even if you don't play with us this week, be sure to stop by FCCB to see more Funny Pun projects presented by the design team members.

Remember, too, that's it's Pre-Hop week at Getting Cricky.  Many of the DT members have selected one cartridge to showcase throughout the week. Each design will also feature a
K Andrew Designs stamp.  Today's FCCB card has the "turtlely!" pun from All About Animals.
You can play along with us by linking as many projects as you like as long as you follow the guidelines which you can read below.

Slow Poke!

Good Morning and welcome to Handmade from My Heart.

If you're looking for Cooking with Cricut's Love Song Blog Hop, click HERE. Today's hop features a different group of designers.  If you'd like to visit the designers participating in yesterday's hop, just scroll down to my blog hop post.  Remember, I will announce my blog candy winner on Valentine's Day so there's still time to leave a comment.

Today begins a week of ideas featuring the Paisley cartridge and stamps from K Andrew DesignsGetting Cricky's 3rd Friday Blog Hop begins this Friday at 6:00 PST.  The designers thought it would be fun to have a Pre-Hop during which time we'd each select a favorite cartridge and bring you a different project each day leading up to the Hop.

My first project uses the first image on the Paisley cartridge.  I added several layers of grass cut from  Plantin Schoolbook.  The flowers are also from PS.  I sized them to match the grass and cut them out in white so I could color the stems and flowers with Copics.  The sun is from Gypsy Wanderings.  I thought this a perfect sentiment for a belated thank you or birthday card.  "SlowPoke" is from All About Animals.   "I'm" is from Winged Things, and "a" is from Winter Wishes.  See how easy it is to create your own custom sentiment using the stamps from K Andrew Designs?

Be sure to stop by Getting Cricky to see a new Simply Sunday Challenge and also visit the design team members who are participating in this week's Pre Hop.

Tomorrow is my FCCB design team day.  I hope you'll come back to see my Challenge Me Monday project which features also the Paisley cartridge and a K Andrew Designs stamp.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Love Song Blog Hop

So Glad You're Here.  Can you feel it?  Love is in the air.

Hello and welcome to Paper Crafting World & Cooking With Cricut's Love Song Blog Hop!
Because love IS in the air,  the Designers have come up with some great Valentine's Day projects inspired by our favorite love songs.
If you've arrived here after visiting Celeste at Touched by a Butterfly you're in the right place. If you're joining us mid-hop and would like to start at the beginning click HERE to go to Paper Crafting World’s Cooking With Cricut blog and check out what Melin has made!

For my project, I was inspired by Stevie Wonder's song "I Just Called to say I Love You".  When my hubby and I became engaged (oh so many years ago!) we lived 450 miles apart so the telephone was our love connection.  Awww, this phone from the Wild Card cartridge brings back the memories!

I used the hde contour feature on my Gypsy to remove the circles on the dial and added the hearts instead. I cut 3 different phones from the base image (just pulled the back half of the card off the Gyspy mat to save paper) so I could use different papers.  The full image was cut using double-sided paper.  The sentiment and small hearts welded on the dial are from George and Basic Shapes. Some faux stitching and dots finished the design.

Now, what's a blog hop without a little blog candy?  I will use Random.org to select one person to win this selection of embellishments.  All you have to do is leave a comment and include a way for me to contact you (VERY important).  If you are already a follower or become one I'll enter your name twice, but you must state that you are a follower in your comment. I'll announce the winner on Valentine's Day!

I hope you’ll join the Design team and link up your favorite love song inspired project at Cooking with Cricut. One lucky entry will be chosen by random.org to win a $10.00 gift certificate provided by PaperCraftingWorld.com! And make sure you leave a comment, too! One lucky commenter will also receive a $10.00 PaperCraftingWorld.com gift certificate!

Thanks so much for hopping with us today. Now head on over to visit the very talented Linda at Linda's Creativity and see what she has to share.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Feeling the LOVE!

That's right - we're feeling the LOVE at Delightful Challenges.  I've selected Digital Delights by Louby Loo's Baking Bear Set to create my LOVE challenge card.  Wouldn't this be a cute card to send along with a plate of homemade cookies?  You'll see so many more cute ideas using our LOVE theme on the Delightful Challenges blog.  The designers have chosen lots of different images to represent the theme.  To see their designs, click HERE.

I love pedestal cards, especially when I want my image to be the focal point of the card front.  The pedestal is perfect for the sentiment.  I think this bear is so cute.  She's colored with Copics.  I felt that the Baker's Twine and buttons were all that was needed for embellishment.

The bear and sentiment are both from the Baking Bears Set.  There's also a Bear Topper in the set which you can find HERE.

To join our LOVE challenge, just link your project HERE, for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to

Thanks for stopping by.  I love reading your comments and if you haven't become a follower, I'd love to have you.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Hugs and Kisses

Today is my design team day for Cooking With Cricut. This week's challenge hostesses asked us to make an adult Valentine which includes a brad and uses the color black.  Lately, I've found myself turning to the "Phrases" cartridge.  The layers are easy to use and I think the phrase images can easily stand-alone.  Just select your phrase and some great paper - easy peasy.

Everything used for today's card is from my craft stash.  I'm really trying to use what I have on hand (which is a lot!) and stop buying everything I see and think I can't live without.  Let's see how long that lasts. LOL!

I hope you'll join in our challenge. Remember to include a brad and the color black and, of course, use a Cricut cut.  Just link your project to the Cooking with Cricut Wednesday post.

If you love digital images and/or cutfiles, then the Tuesday challenge at Paper Crafting World - Cooking with Cricut is for you.  You can find that challenge HERE.

See you tomorrow with my latest Digital Delights by Louby Loo design.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

DT Calls and More!

Good Monday Morning!  I hope you're ready for a wonderful week.

There's a lot going on in blogland during the next few weeks.  First, two of my favorite Challenge Blogs are having Design Team Calls.  Being on a design team is a fantastic way to share your designs while challenging yourself to expand your craft.  I've learned so much and received so much support from my Design Team sisters.  If you've never applied, I really encourage you to do so.  It's a wonderful experience.  First, Fantabulous Cricut is looking for new designers to participate Challenge Me Mondays, comment on linked projects, and take part in the daily inspirations.   Cooking with Cricut / Paper Crafting World is also having a design team call.  This is a great team for the Cricut user and also for those of you who love digital images and cutfiles.  There are challenges for both!  Please visit each site and click on the DT info to see how to apply.

Today, at Cooking with Cricut, I am hostessing the Cartridge Showcase.  Each Monday and Thursday a different cartridge is featured.  I'm sharing projects from my go-to all time favorite cartridge, A Child's Year. I'd love to have to drop by and take a look and all the projects I've shared - there's one for each feature found on ACY.  To see my showcase, click HERE.

Also, it's Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut.  This week's challenge is Love is in the Air.  Many of the team members sharing with you today received stamps from the amazing Kristal of K Andrew Designs who is the sponsor of this week's challenge.  Why not take a look at the great projects featuring Kristal's stamps and then link up your project for a chance to win your own set.

Don't forget Cooking with Cricut's Love Song Blog Hop this coming Saturday and Sunday featuring projects inspired by our favorite Love Songs - sounds fun, huh?  Each day has a different group of designers so you'll find lots of ideas.  I'll be participating in Saturday's hop.  Of course, there will be blog candy along the way!

Next Sunday the Getting Cricky gals will start sharing their 3rd Friday Blog Hop Pre-Hop projects.  During this week prior to our 3rd Friday Blog Hop, we'll be sharing projects using the same cartridge throughout the week.  We've each chosen one of our favorites and will be creating something for each day.  Of course, every project will feature stamps from K Andrew Designs!

And, if all of this doesn't get your crafy head spinning, Delightful Challenges has a new challenge on Thursday and Copic Marker Scrapbooking will be revealing another release sometime next week.

Wow!  I'd better stop writing and get in my craft room.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Sweet Chick

Are you ready for the weekend?
I thought I'd share two new images from Wendy at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  She just released a set called Critter Hearts.  Here are two of the images:

I colored her with Copic Markers and added some Frosted Lace Stickles on the inside of the heart.

Isn't he just so cute?  I had this jungle paper in my stash so I just added a few hearts here and there.

The rest of the set includes a frog and a squirrel - both also holding a heart with a sentiment.
Wendy has also released other adorable Valentine images.  You can see all of her digital images HERE.

Tomorrow I'll share the newest images released by Copic Marker Scrapbooking. You can click the link to see samples from the rest of the design team.  You can also check out the photos on the CMS Facebook page.
