Fall is in the Air??

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today is my posting day at Paper Crafting World.

Is Fall in the air?  Although tomorrow is September 1, it's still quite hot here in Northern CA.  I am looking forward to fall and finally turning off the AC.  It's that time of year when the colors change, the weather changes - it just makes me happy!

My card today reflects the changing of the season.  It was quick and easy to cut and assemble and with the right choice of papers, I think it looks great.

I used the Card with Tag and Leaves cut file from the Paper Crafting World store.  All of the papers are from my fall stash box.  A little inking, a bow, some sequins and foam dimensions and I called it finished.  The letters are from Jaded Blossoms Alphabet Dies.

Be sure to visit the store for you Fall cut files, digital stamps, and print and cuts.

An Apple for You!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you gearing up for Back to School?  The design team at The Cutting Cafe certainly is.
I had the honor of being asked to be a guest designer for the August blog posts.  Regina provided several fabulous cut files for us to use and I chose the Apple Shaped Card.

Here's my project:

This file is quick and easy but has SO MANY possibilities!! I love shaker cards and using the FUSE tool really makes them easy to assemble.  I used Jaded Blossom Stitched Circle Dies to cut the window and the frame and added Doodlebug Designs sequins to the shaker pocket (cut from a page protector and sealed with the FUSE tool.)  A little bit of doodling, Copic marker added to the stem and an organza bow and this cute little shape card is ready to send.

Thank you again, Regina, for the invitation to be one of your guest designers.  You know how much I love your files, but mostly the amazing things you create using them.

Cut It Up Challenge #103

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time to Celebrate National Bow Tie Day (August 28).  Our Cut It Up challenge is to add a bow tie to your project and include a die cut, of course.

I used Jaded Blossom's  Mustache Dies for my card.  This patterned paper seemed the perfect background.  I love the bright, happy colors of my CAS card.

I hope you'll join in our challenge.  You can link up your entry HERE.

Dad Fixes Everything!

Hi Crafty Friends,

I got to thinking of all the wonderful things my hubby does for me and our daughters.  Sometimes I worry that we don't show our appreciation enough so I decided that a thank you card didn't have to wait for Father's Day to let him know how much he means to us.

I love this cut file from Paper Crafting World.  It's Card Dad Fixes Everything  which comes in both cut file and printable form.  It was so easy to cut and assemble.

I cut it on my Silhouette and die cut the label to add the "thank you" stamp.  The die and stamp are from Jaded Blossom.  All the papers are from my scrap folders.

Paper Crafting World has such a large variety of cut files, digital stamp images, and print and  cuts.  Be sure to check out the store by clicking the link above.

Thanks for dropping in today.

Let's Go to the Circus

Hi Crafty Friends,

Digital Delights by Louby Loo has a cute new Circus-themed release.  There are four sets to choose from along with Digital Papers.

Here's BoBo Betty.  I'm not a fan of clowns but she's pretty darn cute.

I colored using Copic Markers and touches of Prisma white pencil.  The balloon die is from Jaded Blossom's new Border Dies 2.  I place the sentiment on a JB Label Die.  The stamped face is a Peachy Keen stamp.  I finished up using twine and some Doodlebug Designs Sprinkles.

Here's the entire release:

A huge shout out to Candace of Jaded Blossom for the design inspiration on this card.

Special Post for The Cutting Cafe

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm so excited to share my project with you.  Regina, from The Cutting Cafe, has asked me to be a guest designer for the August blog posts.  Have you seen Regina's work?  She is amazing and has such a lovely style (you will drool over her beyond fantastic craft room as well!).  The cut files are easy to use and come in many formats so there's something for every crafter no matter what tools she uses.

The first theme for this month is Christmas in August.  I have always loved alphabet blocks and the cute decorations that can be made using them.  With Regina's Fun with Blocks file you have the tools to create any block decor you'd like since it comes with blocks, mats, letters, numbers, sentiments, and special shapes.  Talk about a go-to file to have on hand!!!

Here's my project.

I added snowflakes to the blocks using the Fun with Snowflakes file.

The patterned papers are from Echo Park.  The stars, brad, tulle and gems are from my stash.

Thank you, Regina, the this wonderful opportunity to share your fabulous files.

Summer Memories

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for Cut it Up Challenge Blog's Challenge #102.
For this challenge, we're asking you to share "Summer Memories."  Be sure to include at least one die cut on your project.
I'm sharing a card using an image from Digital Delights by Louby Loo, our challenge sponsor.
The image is Beach Babe Scottie colored with Copic Markers.  I used die cuts from Jaded Blossom's Tropical Dies set and a sentiment created from JB's Picture This 2 stamp set.  Finally, I added some sparkle using Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens, and some shine on his glasses using Glossy Accents.
The sparkle gems are Doodlebug Designs glitter sparkles.
Come on over to the CIU blog and join in our fun.

Let Your Sparkle Shine

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's my turn to post for Paper Crafting World.

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for a special friend.  She's not really girly-girly so I thought the cut file I chose along with papers were suited for her tastes.  She does love sparkle, however, so I definitely had to bring that element into the design.

I used the Friend in Me Card cut file.  I swapped out the flowers in the original file for these rolled roses found in the Rolled Scalloped Rose 3D file.   The patterned papers are from a 6 x 6 pad called Sassafrass.  I added Stickles to the flower edges, Doodlebug Designs sparkle sprinkles and stamped a sentiment from Jaded Blossoms's Superstar set.

Be sure to visit the Paper Crafting World store for some more fabulous files.
