Tea Time?

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have such a fun theme at Cut it Up Challenge Blog today.  For challenge #114 we're thinking wonderful winter HOT DRINKS!  I really followed the rules on this one.  Since it's required to follow the theme and use a DIE CUT, I used  a bunch!!!  Take a look.

LOL, I love metal dies so I was going through all my sets (ya know, that point where you've got to explore because you've honestly forgotten what all you have?)  I'm usually pretty CAS, but I thought it would be fun to break out of that mold and add touches here and there.

Here's what I've used:
Jaded Blossom:  Word dies - cut out of toner paper and foiled, Scalloped Rectangle Dies
Memory Box:  heart
Sizzix: tea pot and cup
QuicKutz:  crate
Spellbinders:  fancy labels, cut in half

Some flowers, leaves, ribbon and ink to add a few extra touches.

Thanks for stopping in.  You can join our challenge by linking your HOT DRINK project above.

Delightful Challenge #18

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for the first Delightful Challenge of the New Year!

For challenge #18 I used Digital Delights by Louby Loo's
January Cupcake.  Did you know there is a cupcake image for every month of the year?  You need to check them all out.

Along with coloring with Copic Markers and Sakura Gel Pens, I've also used Jaded Blossom's Stitched Rectangle Dies and Border Dies 2.  The ribbon is crinkle ribbon that I made myself.

I hope you'll join in our Anything Goes Challenge.  Just click the Challenge link above or on my sidebar.  You have 3 weeks to enter for a chance to win a credit voucher to the Digital Delights store.  One lucky crafter will also be selected to post as a guest designer on March 30.

Happy Bird Day to You!

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my design team day for Paper Crafting World.

I spent several years designing for Melin's Digi team so it's always fun to pick one of her cute digi files "for old time's sake!"

I chose the Toucan Happy Bird Day DS file for today's project.  It's such a happy image and so much fun to color.

I used Copic markers for the image and gel pens for the sentiment (comes with the file.)
I used a Martha Stewart cupcake border punch and the balloon bottom border die from Jaded Blossom's Border Dies 2.  I also used JB's Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut our the image.  Some baker's twine and several sequins finished the card.

Thanks so much for stopping in today.

Nuts About You

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'd like to share my Digital Delights by Louby Loo January Release project.

My image is the Nuts About You set.

I've colored the image using Copic markers.  The oval die cuts are Jaded Blossom Stitched Oval Dies.  The border and stitched hearts are from the JB Valentine dies set.  The patterned papers are from American Crafts.

Here's the entire new release -

Happy Mail

Hi Crafty Friends,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday and that this New Year brings lots of joy to you and yours.
It's my turn to share a project on the Paper Crafting World blog.

I can't believe it's time to start thinking of Valentine's Day projects but it will be here before you know it.  Paper Crafting World has a lot of Valentine files to whet your crafty appetite.  I chose a new file which is a 3 D Mailbox.

This will make such a cute treat box but you could also put tiny Valentine notes in the box.
I made it into a shaker box by using Jaded Blossom stitched rectangle dies to cut a shaker window and frame.  I used my Fuse tool to make the shaker pocket.  I also cut out one of the sides and added a frame for the heat embossed sentiment.  The added cutouts are from a K&Company set of chipboard icons that I've had in my stash for a long time.  I also die cut the word, MAIL from Jaded Blossom Alphabet Dies to add to the front of the box.  The patterned papers are from Pink Paisley.  I like the non-traditional Valentine look of them.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check the design team blog to see more design team projects.
